Course Contents
Vision is an essential tool for robot sensing especially if these robots have to operate in an uncontrolled environment. Vision is used by robots to locate and identify objects in 3D or to build a map of their environment for localization and navigation purposes. The design of such a system is a complex task that relies on complex techniques. The goal of this course is to give and highlight on related problems and popular algorithms and methods to solve them. The course focuses on 3D computer vision techniques. Lectures discuss following topics:

* Camera models and projective geometry
* Stereo vision
* 3D interpretation
* Object recognition
* Motion
Study Goals
Provide student with an overview of the state of the art algorithms for 3D robot vision. After successfully finishing the course the student is able to read, discuss, summarize and comment on scientific journal and conference papers in this area.

Assessment
Homework and exercises during course period with report.
